Natrium (Na) General Information：

Natrium, the element symbol is Na, andalso called sodium. It is located in the 3rd period and Group IA in the periodic table. It has a soft texture and can react with water to generate sodium hydroxide and release hydrogen. It has relatively active chemical properties. The density is 0.968g/cm3, the melting point is 97.72℃, and the boiling point is 883℃. The new cut surface has a silvery white luster, which turns to dark gray when oxidized in the air. Sodium is a good conductor of heat and electricity and has good magnetic conductivity. Potassium-sodium alloy (liquid) is a thermal conductive agent in nuclear reactors. Sodium element also has good ductility and low hardness. It can be dissolved in mercury and liquid ammonia, and can form a blue solution when dissolved in liquid ammonia.
